New Kensington police are asking the public for information about a shooting that happened this month at JJ’s Country Tavern.

Detective Sgt. Matt Saxman said the shooting was reported at about 8 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Fifth Avenue bar.

Saxman said several cars and a couple of buildings were struck by bullets, but police didn’t receive reports of anyone being shot.

Additional information concerning the shooting wasn’t immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.

“We’re still trying to piece some things together,” Saxman said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call city police at 724-339-7533.
