New Kensington police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people as they investigate a weekend shooting.

Detective Sgt. Matt Saxman said the two people are in a photo taken before the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Leishman Avenue, near Catalpa Street and Kenneth Avenue.

Someone fired shots from a car, which then crashed into a parked car. The driver ran from the scene.

Saxman said police were still investigating the case and trying to develop leads.

“We’re asking anyone with information or video surveillance in the area to come forward,” he said.

New Kensington police can be reached at 724-339-7533.
