First responders were called to the scene of an accident just beyond the Walmart plaza off of Freeport Road in Harrison on Friday afternoon.

A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday when his bike collided with the rear of an SUV near the Walmart plaza off Freeport Road, according to Allegheny County Police.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Freeport Road and Evergreen Drive, county police said.

First responders found the 45-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the wreck, which was reported at 4:30 p.m.

The driver of the SUV remained on scene and was not injured, police said.

Police did not identify either driver.

The county’s homicide unit and collision reconstruction unit assisted in the investigation, police said.
