Boy arrested after crashing car into home
Police arrested a boy they described as a juvenile after he crashed a car into a house in the 2900 block of Beechwood Boulevard just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Shots were fired from his vehicle, a newer model Kia Sportage, in the 1200 block of Dickens Street in Crafton Heights, around noon Wednesday, Pittsburgh police said. The vehicle was then seen on Interstate 376 fleeing from officers. It had license plates that did not match the vehicle.
The boy was taken to a hospital in stable condition. He was charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding and multiple traffic violations.
The front porch of the house was heavily damaged, according to police, and city building inspectors will assess the integrity of the structure. Bullets also struck multiple vehicles and a house in Crafton Heights.
Pittsburgh police’s Graffiti Squad seeks suspects
The Pittsburgh police’s Graffiti Squad is looking for a man and woman seen in a video tagging a building in the 1400 block of Bingham Street in South Side.
A homeowner sent a video to police in which a man walks across the street holding a spray paint can, shakes it, and sprays the side of a house. As he is tagging, a woman takes pictures of him, and the two walk away together.
The spray paint tag was “AChizz23” in blue paint. A garage, a residence and a business in the immediate area were painted with the same tag in blue paint.
Police believe this is the same person who tagged the Serbian Club in the 2500 block of Sarah Street in December 2022, using the same paint and tag.
