More local governments reorganize their leadership

More Fox Chapel-area governments welcomed their newly elected council members and supervisors, as well as appointed their top officials earlier this month.

Blawnox

Mayor Anthony Gross swore in Elaine Palmer, John Simmons and Christine Carnevali to their new council seats.

Deborah Laskey and Randall Stoddard were reappointed as council president and vice president, respectively.

The law firm of Dodaro Matta and Cambest was retained as solicitor. Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering (LSSE) was retained as borough engineer.

Kathy Ulanowicz remained borough treasurer/secretary.

Building Inspection Underwriters was reappointed as zoning officer, building inspector and zoning officer.

Dollar Bank remains the borough’s depository.

Council meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the borough building, 376 Freeport Road.

Fox Chapel

Mayor Alex Scott swore in Frederick Leech, Betsy Monroe and Jonathan Colton to their new council seats.

Andrew Bennett and Harrison Lauer were reappointed as council president and vice president, respectively.

A. Bruce Bowden of the law firm Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl was reappointed as solicitor.

Attorney Michael Palombo of Campbell Durrant was named labor attorney.

Kevin Brett of LSSE was reappointed borough engineer.

Council members Bradley Harrison and Sarah Hanna were appointed as delegate and alternate delegate, respectively, to the North Hills Council of Governments.

Dollar Bank remains the borough’s depository.

Council meetings are the third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. in the borough building, 401 Fox Chapel Road.

Indiana Township

Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Jill Rangos swore in Paul Jorgensen, Al Kaan, Darrin Krally and Sarah Hertweck to their new supervisor seats.

Kaan was named mayor and Darrin Krally is deputy mayor.

Attorney Irv Firman with Tucker Arensberg was reappointed as solicitor. Dan Slagle with Nichols & Slagle Engineering was retained as township engineer.

Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the town hall, 3710 Saxonburg Blvd.

O’Hara

District Judge Matthew V. Rudzki swore in Paul L. Cullen and Shamus Petrucelli to their new council seats.

Cassandra R. Eccles was named president, and Michael F. Hammill was named vice president.

Greg Caprara was named township treasurer, and Buchanan Ingersoll Rooney is solicitor.

Charles W. Steinert Jr. was appointed township engineer, and LSSE was retained as consulting engineers.

Jay R. Davis remains police superintendent. Jalen Byrd remains social services coordinator.

J. Todd Giammateo was named public service department superintendent, and Julie A. Jakubec remains township manager.

Meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the township building, 325 Fox Chapel Road.
