The steering column of Heather Hrivnak’s 2014 Kia Forte was torn apart in an apparent theft attempt early Friday on Riverview Drive in New Kensington’s Mount Vernon neighborhood. Two other Kia vehicles stolen from the neighborhood over the past two days were found, city police said.

Ed Seamon said he found damage Friday morning to his wife’s Kia SUV parked on Riverview Drive in New Kensington’s Mount Vernon neighborhood. City police said two vehicles were stolen and 10 others were damaged by thieves who were targeting Kia and Hyundai vehicles.
