Indiana Township announces streets to be paved this summer
Indiana Township officials plan to repair 14 roads as part of this year’s paving plan.
The supervisors awarded Tresco Paving of Pittsburgh a $396,445 paving contract on April 11.
Township Manager Dan Anderson said the company was the lowest of seven bidders and does quality work.
“They have done work for the township before and have done a good job,” Anderson said via email.
The township budgeted $500,000 for paving this year.
It is unclear if the remaining funds will be put toward other work or be saved for next year’s paving plan.
Streets to be repaired this summer include:
• Shaft Street
• Washington Drive
• Lincoln Drive
• Grant Drive
• Middle Way
• Klein Road
• Campbell Drive
• Indianola Drive
• Short Street
• Grandview Drive
• McClelland Road
• Keck Drive
• East Drive
• Allison Drive
Anderson said a road priority list is generated each year with input from public works Superintendent Larry Smith and township engineer Daniel Slagle.
“(Selected streets) are typically in the same general area to avoid unnecessary mobilization costs for moving equipment,” Anderson said.
It was unclear when construction would begin or be completed.
