Highlands superintendent schedules 'Coffee Talks' at schools
Highlands Superintendent Monique Mawhinney will be holding a series of “Coffee Talks” this year to improve communication between parents and school district administration.
It will be an opportunity for parents with children in the district’s schools to discuss any issues or concerns related to their building or to share news about good things that are happening, according to the district.
The meetings will be for adults only.
The schedule for the first round of talks is:
• High School: 8-9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, library
• Middle School: 8:30-10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, library
• Elementary School: 9:30-11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, auditorium
• Early Childhood Center: 9:30-11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, library
Principals will also participate in the talks.
Those attending are advised to arrive early and to have a driver’s license to enter schools through the district’s security system.
