Spring Sanity was unleashed Thursday at Highlands High School, and students got to take their best shot at teachers — by dunking them in a 5-foot water tank.
The teens took a break from Keystone testing and final exams for a two-day, fun-filled outdoor event in the courtyard. Spring Sanity runs through Friday and includes a schoolwide dodgeball tournament.
Students paid $1 for three chances to dunk teachers and administrators, who included new Principal Mike Toole.
Sponsored by the National Honor Society, the event doubles as a fundraiser to benefit the Foster Love Project.
The Pittsburgh-based group provides help for children in foster care and to the families caring for them.
The group has served 460 families in the Pittsburgh region by distributing more than 1,800 emergency bags with all the comforts of home.
