First responders pull driver from vehicle that landed in creek in Oklahoma

The driver of a vehicle that went off the road and into a creek on Monday afternoon in Oklahoma Borough did not suffer any significant injuries, according to authorities.

The one-vehicle wreck was reported at 2:15 p.m. along Vista Drive, according to a Westmoreland County 911 supervisor.

Emergency crews from Oklahoma, Vandergrift, Washington and Upper Burrell responded to the scene and were able to quickly free the trapped motorist, the 911 supervisor said.

Vista Drive is adjacent to an unnamed tributary that feeds into Beaver Run, which spills into the nearby Kiskiminetas River.

First responders reported treating the driver at the scene for a minor injury but transport to the hospital was not necessary, authorities said.

Crews were able to remove the vehicle from the stream and clear the scene within about an hour, officials said.
