The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday and remain closed “until further notice,” the mall announced on its Facebook page.

The closure applies to the enclosed mall only. The mall advised shoppers to check with other stores outside the mall about their status.

“In response to growing concerns regarding the spread of covid-19, Gov. Wolf issued an order (Tuesday) mandating the closure of all malls in Pennsylvania operated by Namdar Realty Group,” the Galleria’s notice said. “Pursuant to the order, the mall will be shut down at 6 p.m. (Tuesday) until further notice.”

Namdar Realty Group, which has 260 properties in 32 states, said it will continue to monitor the situation, and comply with state regulations and government decrees.

“We hope to reopen the malls as soon as permissible,” the notice said.
