New Kensington-Arnold School Director John Cope retained his seat on the school board Tuesday, but the man he beat will still serve alongside him.

Cope, 73, of New Kensington, won over challenger Eric Felack for the four-year seat in Region 3.

But Felack, 69, also of New Kensington also appeared on the ballot unopposed for a two-year term.

According to the Westmoreland County Elections Bureau unofficial results, Cope won by 78 votes.

Cope is a retired teacher and Felack is a legislative aide for state Rep. Abby Major.
