A woman from Arnold faces half a dozen felony charges after police accused her of using another woman’s bank account to gamble online and take out a line of credit.

Nanci Jane Giuffre, 70, of the 1500 block of Horne Boulevard, was charged with two counts each of felony identity theft and access device fraud along with felony counts of forgery and theft.

Giuffre was released from custody on a $5,000 unsecured bond. She faces a preliminary hearing Oct. 13 before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.

A woman told police May 25 that Giuffre obtained her banking information and used it to make $4,555 worth of transactions on the Lucky Land gambling website, which features online slot machines, according to a criminal complaint.

The woman told police that Giuffre also used her account to open a line of credit at OneMain Financial and borrowed $2,029.

The woman told police that she did not know why she was getting bills from OneMain and paid about $664 to avoid penalties.

She told investigators that the money she paid out to keep the line-of-credit account current cut into her budget for food, rent and other expenses because she is on a fixed income.

Giuffre did not have a lawyer listed in court documents.
