A 33-year-old Apollo man is accused of sending inappropriate messages to at least two young teenage girls and, in one case, of trying to seduce a girl while his girlfriend and daughter also were in the house.
Police in Apollo and Kiski Township filed charges against Nicholas Owen McMunn in connection with the alleged incidents.
Apollo police accused McMunn of messaging a girl via the social media app Snapchat. The messages included sexual innuendos and suggestive emojis, according to a criminal complaint filed in that case.
On one occasion, the complaint said, the girl told police that McMunn tried to seduce her while his girlfriend and daughter were elsewhere in the house and then, when she refused, offered her money and told her not to tell anybody because he could get in trouble.
McMunn was arraigned Tuesday in that case on felony charges of unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors and misdemeanor counts of harassment and indecent assault against a person under 16. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
Charges had been filed against McMunn more than a month earlier in the other case.
A criminal complaint filed Jan. 8 said McMunn had requested nude photos from another young teen girl, but she refused and later blocked him from calling or messaging her.
He was charged with misdemeanor counts of harassment and corruption of minors in that case and remains free on $10,000 unsecured bail while awaiting trial, online court records show.
