Special effects legend Tom Savini shared an update on his condition Saturday after being hit by a car.

The Pittsburgh native posted photos to his verified Twitter account that showed the aftermath of an accident he had been in while riding his bicycle Thursday.

Along with the photos of his injuries, Savini tweeted “Have you ever shoulder blocked an oncoming car and then shatter its windshield with your head?”

From the photos, Savini appeared to be in a hospital bed and wearing a neck brace. There was also a wound on top of Savini’s head.

Savini, 74, announced Friday that he had been in an accident.

He said he was pulling out of the Full Moon Tattoo & Horror Festival in Nashville he was set to appear at in April because the accident left him “a bit incapacitated” and needed time to heal.

Savini also thanked Pittsburgh police and paramedics for their help after the accident.
