The Woodlands hosted its annual DIVA weekend March 24-26 to teach empowerment and self-care techniques to 40 local teens and young adults with disabilities or chronic illness.

The weekend included a sleepover and activities celebrating the beauty in diversity and inclusion. Activities included a fashion show, creation of a Glam tote, self-care beauty instruction, construction of vision boards, a headshot photo session and a hair and make-up session.

It also included a visit from Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania 2023, Domonique Howell, of Philadelphia, who has cerebral palsy.

The Woodlands is a nonprofit straddling Marshall and Bradford Woods that offers programs for those with disabilities or chronic diseases.
