Uncontested municipal races in the South Hills

Multiple South Hills municipalities have uncontested council, commissioner or mayoral races in the primary election.

According to the Allegheny County Office of Elections unofficial candidate list, in Baldwin Borough, Mayor David Depretis, a Democrat, is running unopposed for reelection.

In Baldwin Township, two Democrats are vying for two spots on the November ballot for commissioner, Robert Downey Jr. and Eileen Frisoli.

Pleasant Hills has two Democrats running for council, incumbent Marian “Mimi” Haley and Justin Horvat, with four spots open on the ballot. On the Republican side, incumbent Cheryl Freedman, incumbent Robert Karcher, Jarrett Niecgorski and incumbent Eileen Solinas should each receive their party’s nomination, as there are four open spots on the ballot.

Republican Mayor William Donald Trimbath is running unopposed for reelection.
