South Hills communities’ covid numbers vary

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the South Hills have varying numbers of both positive cases and deaths.

As of Dec. 8, there have been 1,112 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Baldwin Borough since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. The borough has reported 18 deaths and 5,302 residents have been tested.

Since the pandemic began, Whitehall has had 791 cases (15 deaths), Jefferson Hills has had 424 cases (12 deaths), Brentwood has had 380 cases (one death), Pleasant Hills has had 312 cases (two deaths) and Baldwin Township has had 62 cases (one death).
