Heavy storms have caused roadway asphalt to buckle and have washed away the berm near the intersection of Cochran Mill Road and West Bruceton Road in Jefferson Hills.

According to an Allegheny County news release, Cochran Mill Road is expected to be closed until at least late next week while Public Works crews mill and pave as well as backfill to reestablish the berm.

The closure is on Cochran Mill Road between Wilson Road and Stilley Road.

Public Works is working to implement a posted detour. When a detour route has been determined, the information will be available at https://bit.ly/CochranMill.

The release said that homes and businesses within the closure area will be accessible at all times.
