Authorities on Friday ruled the death of a woman killed earlier this week in a crash in Dormont as accidental.

Ashlynn E. Gonzalez, 25, was killed in the two-vehicle crash near the intersection of West Liberty and Key avenues shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday, authorities said.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:22 p.m., according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, which did not list her place of residence. Her cause of death was blunt force injury of the head.

A witness told TribLive news partner WTAE that a black Jeep was speeding on West Liberty Avenue when its driver tried to make a left turn, hitting a second vehicle and then rolling onto a truck.

Authorities did not say which vehicle Gonzalez was in.

Police detoured motor-vehicle traffic away from the roadway around the crash for more than three hours while authorities investigated.

A Dormont police officer on Friday referred all questions to police Chief Mike Bisignani, who he said was not available.

Gonzalez was born in Wheeling, W.Va. in 1998 and had two children, according to an online obituary.
