Two middle school students in Mr. Anthony Barbano’s class at Harrison Middle School in the Baldwin Whitehall School District were honored at an award ceremony presented by The Baldwin Historical Society. On June 10, Jude Fosmire was awarded a first place certificate by President Pat Lombardi while Chelsey Dowhy was awarded the second place certificate. For the project, which was orchestrated by member Dr. Sandy Och, students were asked to write an essay about the decline of school population as related to occupations. More than 100 students submitted essays.
