Allegheny County police arrest woman in McKees Rocks shooting
A 27-year-old woman was arrested after being accused in a shooting late Saturday that injured a woman inside a McKees Rocks residence, according to Allegheny County police.
Police said they were dispatched to investigate a shooting on Locust Street in the Hays Manor Housing Community, where they discovered a woman suffered a gunshot wound to her foot.
They went to the scene at 10:40 p.m.
Police said they determined that Sherrita Bey of McKees Rocks was the person responsible for the shooting. After consulting with the district attorney’s office, Bey was charged with one count each of aggravated assault and reckless endangering.
She was ordered held in the Allegheny County Jail after failing to post $1,000 bond Sunday, according to online dockets.
The unidentified victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
