A portion of Route 8 closed temporarily Wednesday morning after a vehicle crash.

Route 8 in Shaler has reopened after a morning crash.

A portion of the road closed around 8:45 a.m. after a vehicle crash at Spencer Lane Extension. Police suggested a detour from Butler Plank Road to Mount Royal Boulevard.

According to a social media post from Shaler police, the road reopened around 10 a.m.

No other details about the crash were immediately available.
