An Aleppo woman is facing charges after being caught on camera slashing a vehicle’s tires in a borough parking lot along side Division Street.

Ashley Edmondson, 24, is charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

Charges stem from an incident July 1 around 3 p.m.

Video footage captured from outside Caliente Pizza & Draft House along Beaver Street shows a woman, later identified as Edmondson, walking up to a Nissan SUV and sticking a knife into its tire. She then appears to walk away only to turn back and slash another one of its tires.

Police Chief David Mazza said police shared the video footage with other departments and were able to identify the suspect. He said there is no connection between Edmondson and the driver of the damaged vehicle.

Mazza said the area is not a hot spot for vandalism and does not know why the incident occurred.
