Sewickley United Methodist Church officials want to keep victims of gun violence in peoples’ thoughts and prayers.

The house of worship along Broad Street had an outdoor display featuring various colored T-shirts with the names, ages and dates of those killed in Allegheny County from October 2021 through June.

The display was scheduled for Aug. 23 through Sept. 5.

The church also hosted a prayer vigil as part of its unveiling.

There were 65 shirts near a message board that read: “Pray for gun violence victims.”

Rev. Hannah Loughman said it was presented by Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence, a faith-based organization dedicated to protecting people.

The display is expected to be moved to Eastminster Presbyterian Church along North Highland Avenue in Pittsburgh by Sept. 6.
