Quaker Valley School Board Region 1 primary candidates will square off once again in November, according to complete but unofficial returns from Allegheny County Elections Division.

All results are with 100% of precincts reporting.

Incumbent Gianni Floro was challenged by William B. Jasper for Democrat and Republican party nods for a four-year seat.

Floro earned the Democratic nod with 365 votes to Jasper’s 219 votes. There was one write-in vote.

Jasper earned the Republican nod with 364 votes to Floro’s 148 votes. There were no write-in votes.

In Region 2, incumbent Geoff Barnes and candidates Angela Hawes, Juliane Mazzarella and Corinna Garcia-Skorpenske all cross-filed to seek both party nominations for two four-year seats.

Barnes and Garcia-Skorpenske were the top Democratic vote getters with vote tallies 334 and 265, respectively.

Mazzarella was third with 168 votes and Hawes was fourth with 145 votes. There were 11 write-in votes.

Garcia-Skorpenske and Barnes were also the top Republican vote getters at 175 votes and 121 votes, respectively.

Mazzarella was third with 67 votes and Hawes was fourth with 65 votes. There were six write-in votes.

In Region 3, candidates John English, George Smith, Melissa Walls and Jessica Webster all cross-filed to seek both party nominations for two four-year seats.

Webster and Walls were the top Democratic vote getters with 612 and 607 votes, respectively.

English was third with 188 votes and Smith was fourth with 121 votes. There were six write-in votes.

English and Smith were the top Republican vote getters with 525 votes and 426 votes, respectively.

Walls was third with 254 votes and Webster was fourth with 219 votes. There were 10 write-in votes.

Incumbents Marna Blackmer and Jeffrey Watters did not seek reelection.
