The Tull Family Theater in Sewickley welcomed patrons back during a soft opening Friday.

In an effort to keep customers healthy and safe, and in addition to government guidelines requiring limited occupancy and mask-wearing, the theater installed a new air purification and ionization system and are spraying virucide — a cleaning agent that deactivates viruses — between movie screenings.

The movie theater is offering special $5 tickets for in-person movies including “Cinema Paradiso,” “The Avengers,” “Zootopia” and “The Greatest Showman.” They continue showing new releases in their virtual screening room.
