Tapas Talks’ second event for the 2022 season took place on April 7 at Allegheny Country Club. Many friends and neighbors attended the event.
Matt Galluzzo, president and CEO of RiverLife, shared his involvement with RiverLife with a program entitled “Riverfronts for All: Advancing a 21st Century Vision for Pittsburgh.” The mission of RiverLife is “to create, activate and celebrate Pittsburgh’s riverfronts, connecting people through exceptional places and experiences.”
The evening started with a social hour featuring delicious tapas. Tapas Talks board member Holly Hampe welcomed guests and introduced Galluzzo. Throughout the presentations, the audience was invited to submit questions to the speaker. After the lecture, there was a question and answer period moderated by Hampe with dessert, coffee and continued conversation to cap off the evening.
Tapas Talks is a non-profit organization to “inform, inspire, connect and give back” to the community through a speaker series. Sponsors include First National Bank, Heritage Valley Health System, Wilpen Hall, Eat’n Park, Sewickley Public Library, and Michael J. Hatcher/Hampe. Because of these donations, Tapas Talks was able to give honorariums to the speaker. The speaker donated the honorarium back to the organization.
