Seniors for Safe Driving, a Pennsylvania-based organization with more than 25 years of public service, is offering senior citizen driver improvement courses.

Locally, courses are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Upper St. Clair Community and Recreation Center, 1551 Mayview Road, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 29 at the Schoolhouse Arts and History Center, 2600 South Park Road, Bethel Park.

Approved by the state Department of Transportation, the courses are designed for drivers ages 55 and older, and involve no testing or behind-the-wheel driving. Those who complete the courses receive a multi-year discount on their vehicle insurance, as mandated by state law.
