Police said Minderd was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Vernail said that Minerd was driving her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt west on Route 40 at a high rate of speed when she failed to negotiate a right curve, crossed into the eastbound lane and drove off the roadway. Police said she struck a fence and a tree which caused her car to roll several times.
Police said Minderd’s car then struck the front porch of one residence, struck another tree and came to rest against a second residence.
She was not wearing a seatbelt.
