The Pittsburgh area saw about an inch-and-a-half of snow from Saturday into Sunday morning. Seen here, Ozark Drive and Saltsburg Road in Plum on Sunday morning, March 27, 2022.

It’s springtime on the calendar, but the weather outside says winter.

A mix of snow and rain is expected for the Pittsburgh region Monday afternoon, according to AccuWeather.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh expects winter weather Monday into Tuesday.

Most areas may get up to an inch of snow, although the ridges of Westmoreland County could see up to 4 inches of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice, WPXI reports.

The region can also expect wind gusts of up to 35 mph. Drivers should anticipate icy road conditions.

Wintry weather won’t last long, however. This weekend, temperatures in the Pittsburgh area are expected to climb to the high 70s and low 80s.
