A 21-year-old West Mifflin man died early Saturday after he crashed his all-terrain vehicle into a tree in Somerset County, state police said.

Ethan Leskovitz was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in rural Elk Lick Township at 12:11 a.m. Saturday, according to Trooper Ryan Platt of Somerset.

Platt reported Leskovitz was driving west on Christner Road when he lost control, drove off the north side of the road and struck a tree. The crash occurred in Forbes State Forest, police said.

A passenger on the ATV was airlifted by medical helicopter to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown for treatment of serious injuries. The identity of the passenger was not disclosed in police reports.
