A pair of 17-year-olds were killed in a one-car crash late Saturday night in South Strabane Township.

Justin Michael Crawford, 17, of Washington, Pa., was driving east on East Maiden Street around 11:18 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the westbound lane and struck a tree, according to the Washington County Coroner’s office. Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger in the car, Nevaeh Sheets, 17, of Washington, Pa. also died at the scene. It’s unknown if either occupant was wearing a seatbelt, the coroner’s office said.
