Former President Donald Trump arrives on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 during his campaign rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds.

Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally Saturday in Westmoreland County.

Trump, the GOP nominee for president, is scheduled to appear at 6 p.m. at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Unity.

Trump’s visit will come two weeks after he last appeared in the region.

On Oct. 5, Trump returned to Butler County for the first time since a gunman opened fire July 13 during a rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds.

Would-be assassin Thomas Crooks grazed Trump’s ear, killed one rallygoer and wounded two others before being shot to death by the Secret Service.

It has been a busy week for political candidates and their surrogates in Pennsylvania, a pivotal swing state with 19 electoral votes. Election Day is Nov. 5.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz campaigned in the region Tuesday. Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, is scheduled to appear Thursday in Pittsburgh. And former President Barack Obama stumped for Vice President Kamala Harris in Oakland on Thursday.

Doors to the Trump rally open at 2 p.m.
