State police in Indiana are seeking information on a methamphetamine dump site found by a man picking up trash in a wooded area in Buffington Township in the southern portion of the county.
Troopers said the dump site was reported along Dilltown Heights Road about 9 a.m. Oct. 6 after a resident discovered suspicious materials indicating the use of suspected materials used in the one-pot method of manufacturing methamphetamine.
Troopers reported the state police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team was dispatched to assist at the scene. In total, troopers said the specialized unit processed 19 acid generators, three one-pot vessels, two empty containers of Drano and packaging materials.
The contraband, which was discovered in a wooded area between 25 to 150 feet off of the roadway, was safely processed, inventoried, and collected without incident, state police spokesman Trooper Clifford Greenfield said.
No suspects have been identified.
