As officers from the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement crack down on establishments not complying with covid-19 requirements, the state is adding enforcement statistics to the covid-19 portal.
The stats include a city-by-city break down of total licensee checks, warnings and violation notices related to covid-19 mitigation efforts.
For example, from July 1-5, a total of 2,189 licensee checks were made state-wide. From those checks, 21 warnings were issued with no violation notices.
In June, the Wolf Administration issued updated guidance that mandates restaurants to require all customers to wear masks when entering, exiting, or moving throughout the restaurant. Employees are required to wear masks at all times.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has also issued guidance to licensed liquor establishments choosing to resume serving liquor on-premises that incorporated and reinforced the governor’s mandates.
A licensee that fails to comply with requirements mandating the wearing of masks, providing at least six feet between parties at tables, and ensuring that maximum occupancy limits are observed risks being cited by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
