Shots fired after fight at apartment complex near Slippery Rock University campus

No one was hurt when shots were fired at an apartment complex near Slippery Rock University in Butler County early Sunday morning, according to state police.

State police said troopers responded around 2:30 a.m. to the incident at University Village at Slippery Rock in Slippery Rock Township.

State police determined that shots were fired after a fight near a fire pit at the apartment complex off of Kiester Road and about a mile east of the university campus.

No one was reported to have been struck by gunfire, state police said.

Police did not say how many shots were fired, and no information on a suspect or suspects was provided.

Anyone with information or video of the incident is asked to contact state police in Butler at 724-284-8100.
