A 7-year-old boy made a threat while inside a classroom at an Indiana County school Thursday, according to state police.

The threat was overheard by a classmate near the end of the school day at East Pike Elementary in White Township who reported the situation to a parent, troopers said. The report was passed on to Indiana Area school officials and investigators at about 4:30 p.m.

Troopers interviewed the boy and his parents and found that he doesn’t have access to weapons. He will not be charged with a crime. Trooper Cliff Greenfield said 10 is the youngest a child can be in Pennsylvania to be involved with the juvenile court system.
