It’s gonna be a warm one.
The Pittsburgh area is expected to see temperatures in the low 80s today. It will be the first 80-degree day this year, and the warmest it’s been since early October, National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Modzelewski said.
The high is forecast to hit 83 degrees in Pittsburgh; the last time it was over 80 was Oct. 9, when it was also 83, Modzelewski said.
That’s well above the average high of 67, but it’s not going to last. Thursday’s high is expected to be back down in the mid-70s, and then range in the upper 60s to mid-70s through the weekend, Modzelewski said.

As for this warm Wednesday, there will be some sunshine, but Modzelewski said it’s going to be partly cloudy.
There will be a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and early evening, with an increasing chance later in the night, but no severe weather is expected, Modzelewski said.
Areas north of Pittsburgh could see gusty storms but, because they’re coming at night, they’re not expected to be severe, he said.
