A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh indicted a North Dakota man on Tuesday for sexually exploiting a girl from Washington County.
Nicholas Nesdahl, 27, could face up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 after he allegedly produced and received child pornography, according to the Department of Justice.
Police began investigating Nesdahl after the 13-year-old girl’s mother contacted them, WPXI reports. The Department of Homeland Security found 20 folders of child pornography on his phone.
Nesdahl, a diesel mechanic, is currently in a North Dakota jail. He will stand trial in Pittsburgh, according to WPXI.
