Food drive launched for Sharpsburg Food Pantry

Fox Chapel officials are helping to support food insecurity in Sharpsburg, officials said.

Councilwoman Anna Grace this week launched a food drive benefitting the Sharpsburg Food Pantry, Fox Chapel officials said on social media.

During the drive, which runs through Jan. 31, the pantry is seeking food and non-perishable items, especially soup, pasta, peanut butter, toilet paper and paper towels, and hygiene items like shampoo and body wash.

People can drop donations at the Cooper-Siegel Community Library and Fox Chapel Borough Building.

The Sharpsburg Food Pantry, located in the basement of St. Mary’s Church, assists residents from Sharpsburg, Harmar and the Fox Chapel area.
