McDonald's Pittsburgh Airport location closes, new dining options to be announced
People traveling through the Pittsburgh International Airport will be going without their Egg McMuffins.
The McDonald’s located in the main terminal of the airport closed.
McDonald’s U.S. media relations department did not respond to request for comment.
Bob Kerlik, director of public affairs at the airport, said the space will not stay empty for long. The airport is continuing its plans for a roll out of new dining options. Kerlik said that includes 15 new concessions throughout the terminal, including Shake Shack, Mineo’s, Jimmy John’s and Café Conmigo. The “enhanced concessions” include the reopening of Chick-fil-A after renovations were completed. Its reopening will offer an expanded menu.
“Announcements will be made in the coming weeks confirming the new locations in the terminal, which will include the space where McDonald’s was formerly located,” Kerlik said in an email.
