A 26-year-old man died in a one-car crash in Somerset County on Sunday, according to state police.

State police identified the man as Bryan Lee Phillippi of Markleton.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. on Glades Pike in Jefferson Township.

State police said Phillippi was heading east on Glades Pike when his car went off the road. His car went airborne after hitting a ditch and overturned after hitting a fence. It then hit a tree, landing on the driver’s side.

Deputy Coroner Clifford Ziegler pronounced Phillippi dead at the scene.

It was not known if Phillippi was wearing a seat belt, state police said.
