VERNON, Conn. — Police in Vernon say they’ve arrested a man wanted in Pennsylvania for allegedly distributing drugs that led to the death of a child last year.

Vernon Police and the East Central Narcotics Task Force arrested Thomas Keogh, of Vernon, Friday and charged him as a fugitive from justice.

At his arraignment Friday, Keogh’s bond was increased from $500,000 to $750,000. Police say arrangements are being made for his extradition to Pennsylvania.

The warrant affidavit alleges that Keogh distributed drugs, including methamphetamine, which later resulted in the death of a 3-year-old. The affidavit does not say how the drugs caused the child’s death.

Keogh faces several felony charges in Pennsylvania, including drug delivery resulting in death.

It’s unclear whether he’s represented by an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
