The Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation is accepting applications for its annual scholarship program.

Students of Hispanic ancestry living in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Westmoreland or Washington county can apply through the chamber website or or via e-mail at scholarships@pmahcc.org. The application deadline is April 30.

Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and complete a 300-word essay.

Students currently enrolled in or accepted into a law school can apply for a Rob Vega Memorial Scholarship of up to $5,000.

The chamber since 2011 has awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to 146 students across the region.
