A 13-year-old boy died and two others were injured in a car crash on Friday in Washington County.

At around 4:30 p.m., the driver lost control of their car while going around a curve on Sunset Drive, West Pike Run Township, according to the Washington County Coroner’s Office.

The boy, identified as Jayden Anderson of Fredericktown, was riding in the front passenger’s seat, according to the coroner’s release.

Jayden was taken to the Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital emergency room, where he was pronounced dead at around 6 p.m.

The vehicle’s driver and another passenger have been taken to a Pittsburgh hospital, the coroner said. Their names were not immediately available.

The state police are investigating.
