The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued flash flood warnings for parts of Western Pennsylvania until Friday afternoon.
Central Allegheny County is expected to receive around an inch of rain and up to a half inch of additional rainfall, the weather service said. The flash flood warning remains in effect until 4 p.m.
Locations in Allegheny County that may experience flooding include Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Shaler, Wilkinsburg, Swissvale, O’Hara, Fox Chapel, Millvale, Etna, Sharpsburg, Edgewood and Aspinwall.
Parts of northeastern Butler County, western Armstrong County and southwestern Clarion County could receive up to 2 inches of rain and up to an inch of additional rainfall, according to the weather service.
The flash flood warning for those counties remains in effect until 3:30 p.m. Locations that may experience flooding include Parker, Bruin, Petrolia, Karns City and Fairview.
