Nearly 30 people were injured when a summer camp bus veered off Route 711 in Fayette County and landed in a field early Wednesday, according to state police.

Troopers and first responders were called to the intersection of Pine Slopes Road and Indian Creek Valley Road (Route 711) in Saltlick Township around 8:20 a.m., according to Fayette County emergency officials. The bus struck a wooden fence as it left the road.

Police said 25 children and three adults were taken to a hospital for a variety of injuries. Details were unavailable.
