4 Christmas destinations just a road trip away from Western Pa.

Here is a look at four holiday-themed destinations, in addition to Overly’s Country Christmas, just a road trip away that people can enjoy this Christmas season.

Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana, Pa.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” fans can learn more about the life of the film’s star at the Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana.

On the third floor of the Indiana Public Library, the museum features memorabilia from Stewart’s lengthy film career and experience as a World War II bomber pilot. Stewart, who died in 1997, was born and raised in Indiana.

Every day in December, the museum is screening “It’s a Wonderful Life” in its newly revamped theater, according to its Facebook page. The museum also sells Christmas gifts based on the film.

According to Facebook, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Museum admission is $10 for adults; $9 for seniors, military personnel and students; $8 for children ages 7-17; and free for children 6 and younger.

Kraynak’s Christmasland in Hermitage, Pa.

Family-owned retail and gardening store Kraynak’s knows how to decorate for the holidays.

Between Sept. 10 and Dec. 31, the store’s Christmasland display welcomes guests to enjoy lights, artificial Christmas trees and animatronics.

The indoor display is 300 feet long.

Kraynak’s is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Oglebay Festival of Lights in Wheeling, W.Va.

Those looking for an extended drive-thru experience should visit the Oglebay Festival of Lights.

The park’s festival features a 6-mile driving route with more than 100 lighted attractions.

The show is open from dusk to midnight until Jan. 8. The park suggests each car donates $30 to enjoy the lights.

Christmas Story House in Cleveland, Ohio

Fans of the film “A Christmas Story” can walk through the home used for the film’s exterior shots and some of the interior scenes.

The Victorian home was purchased by a private developer in 2004 and restructured to become a near-replica of the movie set. Across the street from the house, fans can enjoy a A Christmas Story House Museum, which features memorabilia from the movie.

The house is open for tours year-round.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for seniors, and $11 for children ages 3-12.
