Two people were killed early Wednesday in a one-vehicle crash in Washington County, according to the coroner.

Kacey Coen Shuba, 20, of Washington, was driving on Paxton Farm Road in Chartiers Township when she lost control and hit a tree. Coroner Tim Warco said the crash happened sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Shuba’s passenger, Garrett Evan Delvecchio, 21, of Washington, also was killed in the crash. Both were wearing seatbelts when Shuba’s vehicle flipped onto the passenger side, Warco said. They were pronounced dead at the scene at 6:30 a.m.

The cause and manner of death for Shuba and Delvecchio are pending autopsies. Chartiers Township police are investigating the crash.
